Adesão ao tratamento não farmacológico de pessoas com excesso de peso atendidas em um ambulatório multidisciplinar. 2017. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Nutrição) – Curso de Nutrição, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2017.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/40162Obesity has been gaining ground as an important risk factor related to the increase in chronic noncommunicable diseases (CNCD), and the control of this pandemic constitutes a worldwide challenge. Strategies aimed at controlling weight gain such as diet and exercise that involve improving the quality of life of individuals have been considered indispensable tools for the weight loss process. However, adherence to such strategies on the part of the individual further proves the success of the treatment. In this sense, the objective of this study is to verify adherence to a program of treatment of obesity, from the Multidisciplinary Outpatient Clinic of Obesity of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, in a sample of patients. Participants were 69 individuals with a mean age of 31.0 ± 7.9 and a BMI of 35.2 ± 4.9; 56.5% of the female gender who sought ambulatory care for weight loss. Of the subjects in the study, 56.5% were female. The methodology for assessing adherence to the program was based on a semi-structured questionnaire containing questions of various dimensions related to the disease. The lack of time was said to be the main cause of non-adherence to the treatment of obesity. The study showed that adherence is a dynamic process, but it requires professionals capable of interacting with the individual's health condition, since nutritional counseling and evaluation are of paramount importance if they are performed frequently to guarantee the interaction process and monitoring.openAccessObesidade.Adesão.Atendimento ambulatorial.Doenças Crônicas.Adesão ao tratamento não farmacológico de pessoas com excesso de peso atendidas em um ambulatório multidisciplinarbachelorThesis
