The two problems most frequently reported by women during gestation are presence of physical discomforts and problems related to sleep. For many women, proper sleep as well as sexual function are considered important. OBJECTIVE: To verify the relationship between sexual function and sleep quality of pregnant women, as well as their influence on their quality of life. METHODS: This is an observational cross-sectional study of pregnant women who participated in the Course for Pregnant Women of the Physiotherapy Department of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte from April 2013 to March 2018. A total of 317 pregnant women were evaluated through interviews and self-administered questionnaires, the Female Sexual Function Index (IFSF), the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (IQSP), the Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESSE), and the Quality Index of Life Ferrans and Powers (IQVFP). RESULTS: The sample consisted mainly of primiparous women, the majority (59.8%) were in the second trimester of pregnancy and 53.2% had sexual dysfunction. This study found, through applied multiple linear regression, a statistically significant model [F (3,275) = 13.20; R2 = 0.11; p <0.001], and the following formula was found: Quality of life = 24,70 + (-0,28 x sleep quality) + (0,12xsexual function) + (-0,11x daytime sleepiness). CONCLUSION: The results showed that sexual function and quality of sleep are significantly related to the quality of life of pregnant women. It was observed that a worse sexual function, as well as a poor quality of sleep lead to a worse quality of life during pregnancy.Acesso AbertoGravidezDisfunção sexualSonoQualidade de vidaInfluência da função sexual e qualidade do sono sobre a qualidade de vida de mulheres grávidasdoctoralThesis
