Therefore, the present study took on the critical apprehension about the problematic gender violence, specifically about the sexual type violence. The need to work on this theme resulted from the objective of analyzing the aspects and social determinants that surround the phenomenon of sexual violence against girls and women, but also to critically analyze the term "Culture of Rape". For this purpose, a qualitative research was developed through literature review and documentary research of the patient records of women in situations of sexual violence that were attended by Hospital Dr. José Pedro Bezerra during 2018, respecting the confidentiality of the identity of thevictims. The method used to conduct this research was Marx's dialectical materialism, understanding that it explores the concrete reality of social phenomena in their most complex and historical context. Through the above study it was possible to conclude that women need to build a collective political identity about living conditions, oppression, exploitation and male domination. It’s essential that the feminist women's movement reaches a contingent largest of women. Finally, it is hoped that the work will contribute in some way to understanding the inequalities present in social gender relations, the importance of feminism in the fight for women's rights, and that it will rethink the Program for Assistance to Victims of Sexual Aggression (PAVAS), in relation to its strengthening in the institution and within the multi-professional team that composes it.Gênero.
