Tese (Doutorado em Enfermagem na Atenção à Saúde) - Centro de Ciências da Saúde, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2024.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/58492Introduction: The serious game is a teaching strategy widely used in education. In the health area, it has been gaining ground and providing a new way of teaching and learning, and is being built in several areas, including nursing. In this context, it can be a useful tool for educating students and nursing professionals about pre- and post-operative guidelines for making ostomies Objective: Develop and evaluate a serious game as an educational tool for pre- and post-operative care for people -intestinal stoma creation operation in hospital care. Method: Methodological study, with a quantitative and cross-sectional approach, carried out in three stages: scope review and interview with hospital care nurses; content validation; and evaluation of technical and pedagogical aspects. In the first stage, a scope review and research were carried out with hospital care nurses, collecting information that supported the second stage, construction of the serious game, and the third was content validation (narrative, clinical and contextual aspects and whether the case It is appropriate). For content validation, the content validity index (CVI) should have a value greater than or equal to 0.8 to be considered valid; 10 judges participated in the first round and eight in the second. To evaluate the technical and pedagogical aspects, in addition to the nursing judges in the area of stomatherapy, nine students from the nursing course participated. The instruments for evaluating the technical and pedagogical aspects adapted Egameflow, Learning Object Review Instrument, Satisfaction Scale, and, finally, the usability instrument were also applied. The data was first passed into Excel and then a descriptive analysis was carried out using the Statistical Package for Social Science for Windows program, obtaining the relative and absolute frequencies of the categorical variables. The study was submitted to the Research Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte and received a favorable opinion (Certificate of presentation of ethical assessment: 61762122.9.0000.5537). Results: Given the findings of the scoping review and research with hospital care nurses, it was possible to construct the serious game with two scenarios, one for the pre-operative period of a surgery to create an intestinal ostomy and the second for the postoperative period. Regarding content validation in the first round, a total CVI of 0.85 was obtained. In the second round, a total CVI of 0.9 was obtained. In relation to Egameflow, on a scale from zero to 7, the following were obtained: “Do I try to apply my knowledge in the game?” – average of 6.8; “I want to know more about the content presented” – average of 6.8; “Does the game improve my knowledge?” – average of 6.7. In the Learning Object Review Instrument, most averages were greater than 4, thus considering that the serious game is very good. Design was the only item that received a maximum score of 5 (excellent), followed by feedback and adaptation – 4.75 (very good), motivation – 4.75 (very good), presentation usability – 4.75 (very good) . Regarding satisfaction in playing the stoma game, students were able to use the game independently (8; 88.9%). Regarding the usability of the stoma game, the students felt good in the game, obtaining an average of 4.77, and comfortable while playing, obtaining an average of 4.77. Conclusion: Given these results, it is observed that the hospital stoma game was considered valid in relation to its content and technical and pedagogical aspects, and also promoted satisfaction among nursing students.Acesso AbertoEnfermagemEstomiaJogosEducação em saúdeTecnologia educacionalSerious game como ferramenta educativa para o cuidado à pessoa no pré e pós-operatório de confecção de estomia intestinalSerious game as an educational tool for caring for people before and after an intestinal stomadoctoralThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::ENFERMAGEM
