Qualificação das práticas de educação permanente em saúde no âmbito da atenção primária à saúde no estado do Maranhão. 2021. 50f. Dissertação (Mestrado Profissional em Gestão, Trabalho, Educação e Saúde) - Centro de Ciências da Saúde, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2021.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/46982Permanente Health Education is a strategy that aims to promote changes in the reality of work through critical and problematizing reflection. Therefore, it can continuously qualify health care, including Popular Education practices that require pedagogical input from professionals to align objectives with developed strategies. In this context, the experience reported here in the form of an action research sought to promote the qualification of the educational activities of health professionals who work in the scope of Primary Health Care in the Health Unique System (SUS) in the regional health area of São Luís/MA, raising critical reflections on the work itself based on the principles, logics and tools of Popular Education in Health through the development of a training workshop. In this workshop, educational materials related to the pregnancy-puerperal life cycle of women were evaluated. These materials, once evaluated by the participating professionals, were evaluated by potential users of health services. Briefly, it was developed in five phases: 1. Production of educational materials based on a traditional literature review on the themes: Breastfeeding, gestational grief, the importance of the doula in the process of gestation and giving birth, and obstetric violence, 2. Development of a workshop, 3. Adequacy of materials to the proposals of professional evaluators,4. Sending educational materials to a sample of women, 5. Suitability of materials to users' observations. Ten professionals participated in the workshop, 5 of which were referred by the superintendent of primary health care (PHC) of the state of Maranhão and 5 professionals from the School of Public Health of the State of Maranhão. The training workshop, consisting of two 90-minute meetings, took place remotely via the Google Meet® platform in June 2021. The dynamics used in the workshop were based on the problematization theory, thus using theoretical frameworks to contrast practice and raise reflections. During the workshop, the content of the booklets was validated by professionals to enable further evaluation by a sample of women. From the perspective of the professionals, there was a need to change the illustrations, replacing figures in the form of drawings with real images in order to facilitate the identification of signs and symptoms and add issues not covered. These indications guided adjustments. Once performed, the booklets were analyzed using a convenience sample of 23 women, over 18 years of age, with experience of the gestational process for a maximum of 6 months. The evaluation of the workshop by the professionals, in all the criteria, obtained a satisfactory or very satisfactory judgment. Thus, it is believed that the action of Permanente Health Education reached its proposition of enabling a greater apprehension about the practices of popular education in health. The perspective of this study is to contribute to the qualification of these practices as these professionals implement what has been learned in the praxis.
