Reabilitação vestibular na doença de Parkinson: revisão integrativa da literatura. 2021. 29 p. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Fonoaudiologia) - Curso de Fonoaudiologia, Departamento de Fonoaudiologia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2021.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/36024Purpose: To identify, through an integrative literature review, otoneurological symptoms in Parkinson's disease, protocols used in vestibular rehabilitation, use of associated technologies, instruments for monitoring treatment and its results, and to raise the professionals working in this area. Methods: The study was designed as an integrative literature review, whose guiding question was “What are the main otoneurological symptoms and vestibular rehabilitation protocols used in Parkinson's disease?”. A search was carried out in six electronic databases. Literature Review: Eight studies were selected for this research. Most of the studies were of Brazilian nationality, with a predominance of male participants, aged between 18 and 82 years. They underwent vestibular rehabilitation therapy in an average time of three months and 15 days. Conclusion: It was found that vestibular rehabilitation has been applied by a multidisciplinary team, with predominant use of the protocols of Cawthorne (1944) and Cooksey (1946). Mainly, subjective instruments were used to monitor treatment, showing a reduction in symptoms, an increase in gait speed, a reduction in the risk of falling and greater independence in activities of static and dynamic body balance, with a positive impact on quality of life.
