Avaliação da adsorção da ortofenantrolina na perlita expandida utilizando a Termogravimetria e Espectrofotometria de Absorção Molecular Uv-vis. 2016. 58f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Química) - Instituto de Química, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal - RN, 2016.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/38236This study had the purpose to evaluate orthophenanthroline adsorption process for the expanded perlite, with emphasis on the influence of parameter concentration in the efficiency of the process, in order to determine a concentration at which the process is maximum efficient. Adsorption tests were carried out varying the concentrations of the adsorbate in the proportions: 0.005; 0.01; 0.025; 0.05; 0.1; 0.25 and 0.5 mol L-1. Subsequently to the adsorption experiments, the liquid waste of the process, called the wash water was analyzed by molecular absorption spectrophotometry in the UV-vis the results obtained allowed to quantify the mass of orthophenanthroline unadsorbed during the adsorption process, and demonstrate that the orthophenanthroline solution that would have been prepared at a concentration of 0.5 mol L-1 actually had a significantly higher concentration, a fact which made the results obtained for this very discrepant sample of others. The solid residues were analyzed by thermogravimetry to give the orthophenanthroline content incorporated into the expanded perlite. Furthermore, the thermogravimetric analysis has shown that for very low concentrations (0.005, 0.01, 0.025 and 0.05 mol L-1, in this case), no adsorption occurs, it is necessary, however, increased adsorbate concentration for the process becomes possible. The results also pointed to the concentration of the adsorbate of 0.1 mol L-1 as the optimum concentration for the adsorption process and there is no other concentration that present values as high incorporation of the adsorbate to the adsorbent.openAccessPerlita expandida.Ortofenantrolina.Adsorção.Termogravimetria.Espectrofotometria de absorção molecular no Uv-vis.Expanded Perlite.Orthophenanthroline.Adsorption.Thermogravimetry.Molecular Absorption Spectrophotometry in the UV-vis.Avaliação da adsorção da ortofenantrolina na perlita expandida utilizando a termogravimetria e espectrofotometria de absorção molecular uv-visbachelorThesisQuímica
