Therefore, this work aims to highlight the importance of playing in the learning and development of children in Early Childhood Education, highlighting its role and contributions. The theoretical basis is the studies by Garcia, Pinazza and Barbosa (2020), Vygotsky (1987, 2007), Caroline (2021) and Kishimoto (2010), constituting a bibliographic and documentary research.
