At the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), updating the Pedagogical Course Projects (PPC) is essential to align student training with current regulations but faces operational challenges. The complexity of the process, involving multiple information flows, documents, and stakeholders, combined with a lack of clear guidelines for course coordinators and members of the Structuring Teaching Nucleus, has led to delays over the past three years. In this context, the research aims to map the information flows involved in the development and revision of PPCs, identify obstacles, and propose actions for the Directorate of Academic Administration and Control (DIACOM), with a particular focus on creating an informational guide to facilitate understanding of the process. This qualitative study adopts descriptive and applied research methods, including bibliographic and documentary research and interviews with the Directorate of Pedagogical Development. To map the information flows, the Integration Definition for Function Modeling (IDEF0) and Design Structure Matrix (DSM) tools were applied. The results detail the steps involved in updating the PPCs, highlighting information flows, inputs, outputs, constraints, and responsibilities. The analysis allowed for the organization of activities sequentially, the identification of interrelations, and the recognition of the need for a continuous information flow to ensure greater efficiency. It is concluded that the lack of clear guidelines negatively impacts the progress of PPCs.
