Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Biomedicina) - Centro de Biociências, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal,2023.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/56688Adipose tissue is composed of white adipocytes (WAT), beige adipocytes (BRITE) and brown adipocytes (BAT), which have the function of regulating the energy levels of the human body, being crucial in the metabolic maintenance of the body. This is due to white adipocytes that store energy in lipid droplets and release them in the form of fatty acids according to metabolic demand. Beige adipocytes are the result of transdifferentiation from adult white adipocytes based on biochemical signals that can be stimulated by diet, physical activity and exposure to cold. Brown adipocytes are found in smaller quantities in the body and in specific regions, their main function being to generate heat through thermogenesis activated by exposure to cold. Therefore, adipose tissue is a target for the treatment of obesity, as it directly participates in the development of metabolic disorders. To this end, recent studies address the action of dietary nutrients that activate thermogenesis in BAT and promote transdifferentiation in WAT, reducing the impact of obesity.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/TermogêneseThermogenesisBronzeamento do tecido adiposoAdipose tissue tanningTransdiferenciação de adipócitosAdipocyte transdifferentiationAção de compostos nutricionais na indução da termogênese e bronzeamento do tecido adiposo, potenciais terapêuticos para obesidade: uma revisão de literaturaAction of nutritional compounds in the induction of thermogenesis and tanning of adipose tissue, therapeutic potentials for obesity: a literature reviewbachelorThesis
