Socioeconomic factors such as income, education, gender, ethnicity, beyond the geographic variation in the availability and care identified as important determinants of cancer mortality. In Brazil, the historical and striking inequalities that arise between the Brazilian regions are reflected in the structure and scope of public policies that focus on the health of man and woman, impacting differentially on the incidence and mortality for cancers that are specific to the gender. In this sense, it seems urgent to implement public health policies directed to the most affected populations associated with the reduction of social inequalities and access to primary prevention, early diagnosis and treatment in order to reduce disparities in cancer mortality in Brazilneoplasiasiniquidade socialsaúde do homemsaúde da mulhermortalidadewomen's healthAs iniquidades sociais e as disparidades na mortalidade por câncer relativo ao gêneroInequities social and the inequality in mortality in cancer on the genderarticle
