The composer also uses characteristic elements of 20th century music such as Polytonality, Serialism, Minimalism, Polyrhythmia and Asymmetry. Aspects of manifestations of Northeastern popular culture are present in the work, such as Caboclinhos and Incelênça de Tibau do Sul, in Rio Grande do Norte, as well as Maracatu de Baque Virado, in Pernambuco.
