Therefore, it has been assured the need to study the aplication of that law with respect to the Tribunais de Contas (Accounting Courts), especially given these organs’ functions, which gather enormous amounts of personal data, compelling them to adapt to the new reality brought by the law. Accordingly, this study is based on the referred law and its aplication range, the related principles and it’s importance on the Poder Público’s (Public Power) sphere’s data protection, focusing on the Tribunais de Contas.
