O estresse e sua interface com a obesidade, qualidade do sono e apneia obstrutiva do sono em enfermeiros. 2021. 140f. This can occur due to long working hours, changes in sleep and rest schedules, inadequate eating habits, irregular physical activity and stress. The objective is to analyze the level of stress and the relationship with the prevalence of obesity, sleep quality, obstructive sleep apnea in day and night shift nurses. Cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach. The population consisted of 437 nurses and the sample, based on a sample calculation, consisted of 205 professionals from three Public University Hospitals in the State of Rio Grande do Norte working in both work shifts. Data were collected from December 2020 to April 2021, randomly, through the Instruments: a form for recording sociodemographic data, a questionnaire to assess the level of stress, sleep quality and Quality of Sleep Indices. Pittsburgh-Brazil Sleep, and the Berlin Questionnaire, which checks for obstructive sleep apnea, and the Eating Behavior Questionnaire to check for obesity. The data were organized and tabulated in an excel spreadsheet and the descriptive analysis indicated the sociodemographic characteristics and eating habits of the research subjects, in addition to the frequency of categorical variables, with absolute frequency values (n) and percentage (%) and descriptive statistics of position (mean and median) and data dispersion (standard deviation) for numerical variables. Statistical tests of x2, Student's T Test, Varied and Multisimilar Analysis Test and Poisson regression were used. The results 56.10% of respondents had an average level of stress, 63.83% had poor sleep quality and 81.46% had poor sleep quality. They were statistically significant in relation to stress and some personal characteristics such as: they do not have children (0.008) and those who work at night (< 0.001); regarding sleep quality, those who use medication daily (0.002), who work at night (<0.001) and those who eat while watching TV (0.049) stood out. Concerning sleep disorder, age and obesity, the Poisson regression showed the prevalence of professionals aged up to 35 years, presenting sleep disorders, decreasing by 51%, compared to professionals aged over 35 years. The prevalence of professionals classified as obese, having sleep disorders is higher 14% 7, when compared to professionals who do not have obesity. It was then confirmed that, even being a cross-sectional study, the interface of stress is ratified, given the quality of sleep and obstructive sleep apnea in nurses who work in shifts, and the objectives were achieved. The statistically significant associations affirm the sleep difficulty faced by professionals working in the night shift. As limitations of the study, I highlight that, as they are university hospitals, they offer a better working condition, tending to have nurses with stress levels ranging from medium to low. Another limitation found was the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused the removal of some nurses because they were from the risk group for the disease, they should have obesity, heart and vascular diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes and this could have brought different results.Acesso AbertoEstresseEnfermeiroObesidadeQualidade do sonoApneia obstrutiva do sonoO estresse e sua interface com a obesidade, qualidade do sono e apneia obstrutiva do sono em enfermeirosdoctoralThesis
