The methodological strategy utilized included a qualitative exploratory type approach, due to the lack of research in this field, while documentary analysis was the procedure adopted. Considering that the study conducted was for a professional master’s degree, empirical pedagogical intervention was developed, starting with the elaborated methodology entitled “historical-digital literacy”. This methodology consists of a process to develop students’ skills for historical research which has been organized in three stages. In the first stage, students learn research procedures which allow them to construct historical knowledge; in the second stage, technical and digital knowledge acquired are applied to historical research; and finally, narrative competence is developed to express narratives with varied forms containing historical meaning.
