Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Filosofia) - Departamento de Filosofia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal , 2025.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/64944In this work, the steps of Plato’s paidea will be contemplated, a unique vision of the philosopher who through his work ''The republic', (where he has his master Socrates as main figure of dialogue) presents the necessary means to achieve collective happiness , the proper functioning of the polis as a unit, and how the state needs to be based on the education of its citizens in the construction of its constitution. Plato’s philosophy reflects his dissatisfaction with democracy and the condemnation of his master, in order to think about a more just polis, in which the exercise of reason is guided in the life of citizens, and that the happiness of man truly virtuous is only achieved through the exercise of education, relevant to philosophizing. All the way will be covered by the education of guardians, children, women and the ruler-philosopher, understanding how each should be instructed, it is then possible to see the broad vision of Plato about justice, happiness and common good.pt-BRCidadãoeducaçãoGuardiãoRei-filósofoPaideiaPlatãoRepublicaA Paidéia de Platão: a educação dos cidadãosPlato's Paideia: The education of citizensbachelorThesisCIENCIAS HUMANAS
