Dissertação (Mestrado Profissional em Química - Profqui) - Centro de Ciências Exatas e da Terra, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2020.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/31435The investigative experimentation has been considered by several researchers as an alternative to improve learning and intensify the role of the educational asset in the activities, thus allowing a greater participation of the same in all investigation processes, that is, from the interpretation of the problem to a possible solution to it. In this approach, students have the opportunity to discuss, question their initial hypotheses and ideas in light of the theoretical framework, collect and analyze data to find possible solutions to the presented problem situation. In this sense, the present research sought to develop a didactic sequence, accompanied by guidelines and experimental investigative scripts, making use of the content of thermochemistry, with application of the activities related to the phenomena. The study developed as qualitative research was applied with students of the 2º year of high school of E.E.M. Gonzaga da Fonseca Mota, located in the city of Quixadá, Ceará. The data collection was carried out from the analysis of two likert questionnaires and through the experimental investigative scripts developed by the students. Comparing the two questionnaires referring to thermochemical knowledge, in which the first one was applied after the theoretical classes and the second one after the theoretical and practical classes, we observed a considerable evolution in the assertives. We also observed a growth in the number of students who were able to correlate the theoretical contents with the experimental activities, as well as to associate these concepts with the situations in their daily lives. The students also confirmed that the use of experimental investigative activities as a didactic resource facilitated the understanding of the central theme, in which they were the protagonists of the situation. Finally, we emphasize that during the elaboration and execution of the Didactic Sequence, the students were able to develop the capacity to reflect about the events that are part of thermochemical phenomena, besides developing basic laboratory techniques, leaving aside the traditional "recipe" in an attempt to articulate the knowledge already acquired together with the formation of new concepts.
