It discusses the attractiveness of the teaching profession, the implications of the challenges faced by teachers, the scarcity of teachers, and the reasons why individuals might be discouraged from pursuing a teaching career. A questionnaire with three questions was administered to 115 students from public high schools and Adult Education programs. The data analysis revealed that the teaching profession remains relatively unattractive to young people in general and is currently more appealing to students from less educated families.
