Patients that keep using conventional prosthesis for several years in the upper jaw will notice the retention and instability to appear due to the speed up of the bone resorption process. Attachment MK1 overdenture is a choice to rehabilitate completely edentulous upper jaw with severe resorption mainly because its structure design introduces a substantial degree of freedom in the implant position, stability, retention, esthetic, as well as the possibility to remove the palatal coverage. If one considers the use of removable partial denture, attachments will appear in evidence. The MK1 system represents a precision locked attachment with rigid working, and it may be used over teeth, roots and implants. The conclusion is that the simultaneous use of both MK1 attachment and removable partial denture represent a satisfactory prosthetic option. This is true even assuming that this technique requires experience and a meticulous execution of the laboratory proceduresOverdenturesImplantes dentáriosAttachments MK1Engenharia BiomédicaSistema de attachments MK1 em overdentures para reabilitação oralarticle10.18816/r-bits.v1i2.1501
