The creation of analytical models, based on equations and algorithms, is essential for enhancing decision-making, reducing costs, and improving outcomes. The main objective is to develop a mathematical model for the CVT transmission, contributing to the understanding of dynamic behavior, efficiency, and performance, providing a foundation for future mechanical component design. The adopted methodology involves data acquisition, kinematic and dynamic analyses of the CVT transmission, and an assessment of the vehicle's dynamic behavior. The CVT modeling incorporates specific details of the pulleys, using a strategic approach that simplifies dynamic analysis. A computational code was developed in Python3 to adjust the engine rotation and weight angle, and the transmission ratio is analyzed in comparison with real vehicle data. The study highlights analyses of forces on the CVT pulleys, emphasizing moments when the centripetal acceleration exceeds pulley resistances. Graphical responses were generated to examine disparities in CVT behavior with different tuning components, revealing relationships between mass in the motor pulley weights, pre-load in the driven pulley, and angular velocity. Three distinct mathematical models were developed: one for simulating the CVT behavior, another for simulating the longitudinal performance of the vehicle's transmission, and a third designed to simulate longitudinal behavior, incorporating real CVT data. The first and last models yielded satisfactory results, with a discrepancy of less than 15% compared with real data.CVTdinâmicacinemáticamodelagemModelagem matemática de CVT visando a avaliação do desempenho longitudinal em um veículo Mini BAJAMathematical modeling of a CVT for longitudinal performance assessment of the Mini Baja vehiclebachelorThesisCNPQ::ENGENHARIAS::ENGENHARIA MECANICA::PROJETOS DE MAQUINAS::TEORIA DOS MECANISMOS
