Almost all the papers that study the HomePlug standard make tests of protocol performance. Some of those papers make comparative tests between the medium access control sub layer (MAC) of the HomePlug and the IEEE 802.11 MAC. This work complements the evaluations found in literature, having as its aim the study of HomePlug 1.0 standard, in respect of its performance in domestic and non-domestic environments.
