This work aims to develop a procedure to guide the planning and analysis of an experiment. For this, the main concepts about this area of study were used, as well as the understanding of the basic principles of experimentation (randomization, replication and blocking). This study seeks to contribute to the literature in three ways. First, with the development of a guide for studies in the area of experimental planning to help researchers who have or do not have experience with experimentation. Second, this study seeks to disseminate the importance of planned experiments for different areas of study, considering that experimental planning helps in reducing costs, optimizing time and resources.
