Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Fisioterapia) - Departamento de Fisioterapia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2024.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/58560Introduction: Chronic non-specific low back pain (NSLBP) is defined when pain persists for more than three months and there is no predisposing factor to this dysfunction, with the absence of a primary pathology, such as infections, tumors, or inflammatory disorders. that reach the lumbar region. As it affects individuals in the psychological, physical and social spheres, it is necessary to compare the difference in pain, disability, function and quality of life between healthy individuals and individuals affected by NSLBP for better assertiveness and effectiveness in evaluation and physiotherapeutic treatment. Methodology: This is a comparative cross-sectional study, involving 74 participants of both sexes, aged 18-60 years, divided into two groups: NSLBP (n=37), and healthy (n=37) with similar anthropometric characteristics. Assessments were made of: pain during the functional test of sitting and standing, pressure pain threshold using a pressure algometer, level of disability using the Roland Morris and Oswestry questionnaires and quality of life using the SF-36 questionnaire. Results: The NSLBP group had greater pain intensity (NSLBP = 5.13 + 2.29; Healthy = 0.36 + 0.82 (p<0.05)); in the level of disability according to the ODI (NSLBP = 23.02 + 11.90; healthy = 0.35 + 0.85 (p<0.05)); and by RMDQ (NSLBP = 8.40 + 4.83; healthy = 0.35 + 0.58 (p<0.05)); lower quality of life (NSLBP = 93.34 + 14.80; healthy = 118.16 + 13.55 (p<0.05)); There was also lower performance in the functional sitting and standing test in the NSLBP group compared to the healthy group (NSLBP = 12.48 + 4.29; healthy = 8.25 + 2.04 (p<0.05)). Conclusion: Pain, disability, function and quality of life showed worse results in individuals with NSLBP compared to healthy individuals. Therefore, physiotherapeutic interventions must take into account the biopsychosocial model of health and consider multimodal strategies in the treatment of this disease.Attribution 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/br/Dor crônicaDor lombar crônica - não específicaEstudo transversalChronic painLow back pain - non-specificCross-sectional studyComparação da dor, incapacidade, função e qualidade de vida entre indivíduos com dor lombar crônica não específica e saudáveis: um estudo transversalComparison of pain, disability, function and quality of life between individuals with chronic non-specific low back pain and healthy individuals: a cross-sectional studybachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::FISIOTERAPIA E TERAPIA OCUPACIONAL
