The main objective of the present work was to verify which are the duties of a pharmacist in a community pharmacy and if these duties are performed. For this, initially, a survey of the information inherent to the attributions was carried out, being divided into two spheres: administrative attributions and pharmaceutical care attributions. This is a qualitative case study approaching exploratory. Data were collected from a document analysis combined with observations by the author, and obtained in the community pharmacy analyzed. The information collected resulted in the completion of a checklist that guides the performance of assignments. The lack of home pharmaceutical care services, pharmacotherapeutic monitoring and drug fractionation was found, each service has its importance in promoting health for the population and the lack of these can jeopardize the objective of the community pharmacy.
