As a consequence, it has been suggested that there is a decrease in muscle strength, a prime component of physical fitness, and thus a reduction in functional capacity. Therefore, the aim of this study was to compare the functional capacity of women with fibromyalgia and healthy women. Methods: It was performed a cross-sectional study with 40 women from Natal / RN, recruited in non-probability sampling. The volunteers were allocated into two distinct groups: Fibromyalgia Group (GF) (n = 20) and Healthy Group (GS) (n = 20). The evaluations were carried out through the Timed Up and Go Test (TUGT), the Chair Stand Test, The 6-Minute Walk Test (6MWT), and the sit and reach test. Results: The Fibromyalgia Group had a lower performance in all tests, being statistically significant (p <0.05) for the Chair Stand Test (GF 14.15 ± 2.08, GS 16.95 ± 1.93), 6MWT (GF 546 , 40 ± 60.88, GS 616.39 ± 48.05) and VO2 Peak (GF 17.52 ± 1.40, GS 19.12 ± 1.11).
