Method: Epidemiological, exploratory, quantitative, cross-sectional study with professionals working in Primary Health Care (PHC), with the application of the Self-Efficacy Questionnaire (SE-12). The p value <0.05 was used as statistically significant. The total score was used to perform the statistical tests; Independent T-Test, ANOVA and Bonforroni Post-Hoc. Results: The sample consisted of 170 professionals linked to the FSE of the five health districts, with equal distribution between middle and higher levels. The female gender was predominant with (68.1%) of representation, among the positions the Community Health Agents (CHA) were the majority (26.19%), 41.64% of respondents work for more than 7 years in PHC. The items with the lowest average were those related to giving difficult news (7.56) and dealing with angry patients / family members (7.55). Statistical analysis indicated a better evaluation by professionals who had some type of HC training (p <0.027), as well as those who had a higher level position (p <0.01). Conclusion: The description of the self-efficacy of HC among the professionals who are part of the FS, described in this study, allows us to identify the perception of professionals of the relationship with the user in the development of their daily activities.
