In a long historical journey, stigmas were deconstructed and prejudices defeated and making with that the madness were recognized as a mental disorder, hereditary or acquired, arising a specific attention to care of the people with psychic suffering. Actually, in a human conjuncture of care, starting at therapeutics workshops which are offer by psychosocial attention centers (CAPS), Natal is inserted as a brazilian city pionner in mental care, mainly at utilization of arts to care psychic suffering, in specific the music, counting with moments of choral singing and practice of joint and tutorship of instruments in fully activity in 4 of the 5 CAPS that exists, according to Albuquerque and Xavier (2017, p.5). Identified as a field for possible studies and, posteriorly, professional performance I saw the opportunity to investigate and analyze the perception of graduates in music of Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte(UFRN) about the use of music to the mental health care, principle of a global way as well orientate to the field of psychosocial attention centers. To reach the composition of a sample space the present work had as methodological procedure the research of lifting like ´´survey``, being applied one quiz with the target audience at the scenario of Escola de Música da UFRN, in a mixed approach ( quantitative and qualitative) of study.
