For humanized assistance to women in situations of abortion, ethical and reflective approaches are needed and endowed with a qualified practice. This Residency Completion work has the general objective to address the perspective of humanization in the care of women undergoing an abortion process at Hospital do Seridó in Caicó / RN, and as specific objectives, point out the ethical and legal aspects related to the abortion in Brazil; report how care at the Hospital do Seridó occurs at women undergoing abortion; and building a flow of attention humanized assistance for women in abortion situations in that health Service. This is an experience report with an approach qualitative, with sources obtained through documentary research, observation participant and field diary. Thus, the absence of broader legislation, qualified service, and the existence of conservative conceptions still in society collaborate to perpetuate the history of violations of rights sexual and reproductive rights of women. In the present study it was found that a portion of the health team had difficulties and certain limitations regarding health care provided to women undergoing abortion in this context. space. This standard Operating procedure created is intended to encourage performance of professionals based on the principles and guidelines of the System Unified Health System.
