It aims to reflect on the importance of using games as a methodological strategy to assist in the learning of children, in a fun and meaningful way. At work, child education plays a key role in the intellectual and personal development of children. At school children share knowledge, play, have fun and learn. The use and the search for new teaching methodologies are increasingly frequent, because education is done in line with the historical and social demands, renewing itself every day. The educational games appear more like a teaching strategy to promote meaningful learning. While research strategies were used participant observation techniques with photographic records of games and activities during the games. For this research were consulted several works among the main authors are: Freire (1996), Kishimoto (1997), Oliveira (2002) Paro (2001) and Wajskop (1995 and 2012). Through the results obtained from the application of the games was evident the interest of children to learn playing.
