Methods: Ecological population-based study with mixed design, temporal trend and multiple groups carried out in Brazil with secondary data. The outcome variable was considered to be mammography exams performed in Brazil from 2014 to 2023, by regions of Brazil in their place of residence and by immediate articulation regions. Illiteracy rates, average per capita income, supply of nurses in the family health strategy, supply of doctors in the family health strategy were used as independent variables. Descriptive analysis, trend analysis through jointpoint and spatial analysis were performed. Results: The five regions have a low rate of mammograms, however the North, North and Central-West regions were those that had the highest rates of socioeconomic inequalities, exacerbating the low rate of mammograms, some immediate regions of urban articulation presented “clusters” evidencing the inequalities and highlighting the low rates of access to mammograms. Conclusion: the illiteracy rate and average per capita income are variables that point to inequalities, directly influencing access to mammograms in Brazil.
