The shear wall differs from common column, first being a surface element, whereas the abutment is a linear element, and also because of the localized effects which may arise in shear wall. This work of course conclusion studies the design and detailing of these structural elements by NBR 6118: 2014 (concrete structures design) and through computational resources widely used in the country: CAD/TQS, AltoQi/Eberick and CypeCAD. The manual design, as well as the CAD / TQS and AltoQi / Eberick uses the simplified method of NBR 6118: 2014. Besides this method, the CAD / TQS also makes the analysis of these components through the meshes method. Already CYPECAD designs these elements using finite elements.
