DESCRIÇÃO DAS ATIVIDADES E PERFIL DOS CÃES FREQUENTADORES DE UM DAY CARE CANINO EM NATAL-RN. 2024. 28 f. TCC (Graduação) - Curso de Zootecnia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Macaíba, 2025.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/61172The present study was written according to the standard adopted by the International Journal Of Agrarian Science (PDVAGRO).The relationship between humans and pets has evolved significantly, leading dogs to occupy the status of family members. However, this close coexistence has also brought challenges, such as separation anxiety syndrome (SAS), intensifying the search for specialized services, such as canine daycares. This study aimed to describe the activities developed and the profile of dogs attended at a canine daycare located in the city of Natal-RN, Brazil. The research was conducted through direct observation at a daycare for 10 weeks, collecting data on frequency of use, breeds, reproductive status, and activities developed. The results showed that most dogs had sporadic frequency (49%), followed by regular (25%) and intermediate (25%). Among the dogs observed, 21 breeds were identified, with SRDs (15.7%), German Spitz (11.8%), and Beagle (9.8%) standing out. The predominance of males (58%) and neutered animals (62.7%) evidenced relevant characteristics of the profile served. The activities at the daycare were directed towards behavioral stimulation, socialization, and environmental enrichment, contributing to animal welfare and providing a practical solution for tutors. The data indicate that the popularization of canine daycares reflects changes in urban lifestyle, such as the verticalization of cities and the humanization of pets. This study contributes to the understanding of the functioning of these spaces, offering relevant information for the management and improvement of services aimed at the pet market.Attribution-NoDerivs 3.0 BrazilAttribution-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/3.0/br/http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/3.0/br/Etologia caninaCreche caninaBem-estar animalEstilo de vida urbanoServiços petDescrição das atividades e perfil dos cães frequentadores de um day care canino em natal - rnA description of the activities and profile of dogs attending a canine daycare in natal - rnbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS AGRARIAS
