Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Dança) - Departamento de Artes, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2025.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/64419Crossed by the context of the COVID-19 pandemic from 2020 to 2022, breathing is not only highlighted as a vital function but also as a tool for self-care and emotional regulation, connecting the body and mind in moments of uncertainty and social isolation. This undergraduate thesis reflects on how breathing influences the dancer’s bodily expression, based on the experience with the Consolidated Art and Culture Group Gaya Dança Contemporânea, linked to DEART/UFRN, emphasizing the importance of breathing for fluidity, body awareness, and the integration between technique and artistic sensitivity. In dialogue with authors such as Jussara Miller, Klauss Vianna, Moshe Feldenkrais, and Patrícia Leal, four lesson plans inspired by the Feldenkrais Method and Klauss Vianna Technique were applied to the group members, along with questionnaires (Body Diary). Through participant observation and qualitative analysis of the collected data, it was evidenced that beyond injury prevention, conscious breathing significantly contributes to the quality of artistic movement, promoting greater presence, expressiveness, and bodily connection.pt-BRAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/RespiraçãoGaya Dança ContemporâneaConscientização CorporalEducação Somática."Respiramento" - Gaya, dança e movimentobachelorThesis
