Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Educação Física) - Departamento de Educação Física, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2016.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/39357The objective of this study is to identify the meaning of the program Segundo Tempo Forças no Esporte, realized in the Raiogonometric Marine's Station in the city of Natal to the adolescents who participate in it as well as comprehend the motivation behind their participation through the analysis of the student's discourse originated from the photographs taken by them. To do this, we first present a literature review regarding the Segundo Tempo Program, starting at the creation of the Ministry of Sports, then moving to the idea of social projects as an alternative to minimize social chaos, characterizing the program in its comprehensiveness and objectives as well as describing the program and narrating its trajectory and growth. We also discuss ideas from authors of the Biological Sciences and Psychology in order to reflect about adolescence. This is a qualitative research, with a sample of 06 (six) participating subjects, all of them between the ages of 15 and 17 years old, as the Statute of Children and Adolescents demands, and all of them Natal or Parnamirim residents. Regarding the factors that give meaning to the program, the subjects pointed to the sport, the things they learn in the project and the minimization of social risks. Regarding the motivation behind their participation in the program, once again sport appeared as a major factor. The other factors were interpersonal relations, which could be with friends or teachers, and their family's incentive.
