Trabalho de Conclusão de curso (Graduação em Enfermagem) - Faculdade de Ciências da Saúde do Trairi, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Santa Cruz, 2019.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/38598In Brazil, there is a struggle against the medicalization of childbirth that exceeds the recommended by the World Health Organization, of up to 15%. There are necessary Scientific investigations referring to the resolutive potential about which motives ensure increased with cesarean section rates. Thus, this study aims to analyze pertinent informations related to the factors that influence the increase of cesarean sections. It's about an integrative systematic review study, by database search in Capes Periodical Portal, from April 2014 to September 2019. For the search we used the Keywords: Choice and cesarean section. Whith these descriptors the criterion “date of publication: the last five years” was applied. It was found, after crossing descriptors, a final sample with eleven (11) publications presenting relevant aspects on the subject. However, there are few studies, in the current context, that analyze the practice of C-section in Brazil. Among the found studies, it is perceived that the influence of the doctor and the educational level of women interfere in their choice for cesarean section. Therefore is possible to highlight the need to reflect about the service rendered to women during pregnancy, birthing process and childbirth.
