Method: This study was approved by the Ethics Committee under opinion No. 6,757,095. This was a mixed-method, methodological, and intervention study. Five families using a hearing health service participated in this study, and they received five intervention sessions based on the Parent Child Interaction Therapy model, which provides real-time feedback during the interaction between the family and the child, in this study, in order to improve communication. To evaluate the effectiveness of the applied model, the pre- and post-intervention interaction samples were evaluated by two blind and calibrated judges. The System Usability Scale was used to evaluate two devices: Remote Microphone (E1) and a low-cost solution: Bluetooth headset with a free application (E2) during the application of the intervention. Each family evaluated the equipment and their satisfaction with the intervention was also analyzed. The data were analyzed descriptively, inductively and qualitatively. Results: a reliable change and clinical significance of the intervention were found in the interaction of guardians with their children, with satisfaction and benefits recognized by study participants, and the low-cost solution (E2) presented usability, with an excellent evaluation.
