For this, a descriptive research with a quantitative approach was developed with 90 professors. Data were collected through a questionnaire that was divided into 3 sections, the first dealt with sociodemographic characteristics, the second related to the financial situation, and the third about Investor Profile Analysis, the questionnaire was applied online using the GoogleForms® tool. Based on the responses, the results were analyzed using descriptive statistics techniques, cross tabulations, and other analyses. The results show that UFRN professors fit a moderate profile, and seek gains higher than inflation, with low and medium risk, opting for investments such as savings, CDB, LCI and LF, in addition to not having the habit of making investments periodically. It was also noted that of the 8 CNPq areas of knowledge, only the areas of Agricultural Sciences and Linguistics, Letters and Arts had unanimous results regarding the professors' investor profile, both areas had 100% of respondents classified as a moderate profile. In addition, it was noticed that teachers have debts in installments, but without delays, and the main source of these debts are credit cards, in addition, these debts correspond to more than 10% of their monthly income.
