Through a narrative literature review, 15 articles published between 2010 and 2025 were investigated, allowing us to identify patterns, technological advances, and challenges related to the integration of AI in the financial sector. The results revealed that AI plays an essential role in the analysis of large volumes of data in real time, offering more accurate forecasts, greater operational efficiency, and personalized strategies for investors. Models such as artificial neural networks and Monte Carlo simulation were explored as tools to deal with the complexity and volatility of the financial market. Despite the benefits, the challenges associated with the adoption of AI were widely discussed. Issues such as dependence on historical data, lack of explainability of models, and algorithmic biases were identified as significant barriers. In addition, ethical and regulatory aspects emerge as central concerns, requiring attention in the responsible implementation of these technologies. It is concluded that AI, when strategically integrated, transforms financial processes, optimizing decision-making, expanding accessibility to technological solutions and promoting democratization in the financial market.
