In 2016, while studying technical, after completing the technical course, I was approved for the degree in music at UFRN and currently I work as a music teacher at the ICC in Santo Antônio/RN. It was in the music degree course at UFRN that I had my first contact with children's musicalization through the observation internship in the discipline of Oriented Activities 1, taught at the time by Professor Camila Luna, where I had the opportunity to observe with another look, reflect and understand the process of teaching music in early childhood education. This work had as a starting point the following question: in what way does the project musicalizing the NEI, contribute to the learning process of students from the early childhood education nucleus of Escola Ideal Colégio e Curso. The justification of the theme is the importance of working with music in early childhood education, considering the need to guarantee the rights and learning of the child, since through musical activities the child develops important skills for their social life. Thus, the objective of the work was: to analyze the contributions of the project "Musicalizando o NEI" in the core of early childhood education of the Ideal Colégio e Curso school in the city of Santo Antônio do Salto da Onça /RN. To achieve this objective, three specific objectives were outlined: to highlight general aspects of music in early childhood education; explain the development and organization of the project at Ideal Colégio e Curso; and to analyze the unfolding of the Project from the perspective of the teachers and the pedagogical coordination of the NEI. The research was developed as a case study qualitative research. As for the production and construction of data, these were composed by documental research, in the form of a questionnaire. The work is structured in four chapters, the first consisting of the introduction, the second deals with contextualization bringing a brief summary of the motivation in choosing the theme of the work. Then I discuss children's musicalization in the child's development and learning process, in dialogue with ideas from authors such as: Brito (2003), Brasil (2018), Rossetti and Mota, (2021), Ramos (2021), Rocha (2019), Guilherme (2003), Oliveira (2019), Ilari (2013), Silva (2005) and Teixeira (2019). In this same chapter, I also present the methodological procedures used in the research, justifying the paths and choices of data collection tools. I also approach the context of the Project musicalizando o Nei, presenting data about its structure, objectives, faculty and the classes where the classes are taught, in addition to data analysis, considering the dialogue with the authors already carried out and the entire scenario investigated.
