Wind speed measurement errors can, beyond to compromising the ideal operation of a wind turbine, generate incoherent power curves and energy production estimates. This work aims to analyze the influence which a wind speed measurement error has on a power curve and energy production estimation of a horizontal axis wind turbine. To this end, a wind turbine with a known wind speed measurement error was used as the object to be studied, proposing a correction of the measurement errors and carrying out an analyses, before and after the error correction, of power production estimate based on IEC 61400-12-1 standard.
