Monografia (Graduação) - Curso de Direito, Centro de Ciências Sociais Aplicadas, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, RN, 2024.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/59452The main objective of this study is to investigate the space occupied by Literature in the Law undergraduate course at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), Natal, based on three specific objectives: i) from literature review, to investigate the emergence and development of the Law and Literature movement, in order to acknowledge all readers about this area of study; ii) from literature review, to investigate the perspective of the humanist project of Law and Literature applied to legal education, considering the main national authors and, in contrast, to present the central criticisms of the North American Law academy to this project; iii) apply a survey to the law professors at UFRN, and carry out advanced searches on the curricular structure of this course, through the Integrated Academic Management System (SIGAA), in order to map the existence of activities and curricular components that include the reading of literary books in the legal course investigated. Based on the information obtained, it can be concluded that there are several points of contact between what was said by the participants in the form and the ideas contained in the humanist perspective of Law and Literature, namely: plural and humanistic education, thematization, awareness and empathy.
