Sala potengi: projeto paramétrico de uma sala de concerto para a UFRN. 2018. 147f. Trabalho de conclusão (Graduação em arquitetura) - Departamento de Arquitetura e Urbanismo, Centro de Tecnologia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2018.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/36978Among the spaces available for musical presentations at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, there is still no concert hall that provides an adequate acoustic treatment so that musicians and people that attend the concerts can enjoy a musical experience mediated by a space which has been specifically designed for this purpose. In front of this necessity, we propose the creation of a concert hall which can be able to meet those requirements, supporting the needs of both musicians and public, who seeks for a concert venue great enough to attend the crescent interest on public concerts in Natal. By observing the state of art in the architectural production of concert halls, we can notice the crescent presence of complex and organic geometries, accompanied by sophisticated methods of computational simulations. In relation to these considerations, this work has as its main objective the development of a preliminary architectural study for a concert hall in the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, taking into account the study of acoustics through a computational approach. In order to achieve this, we aim to: understand the functional and formal characteristics of concert halls, deepen the knowledge about acoustic comfort requirements for concert halls and, lastly, we have also the objective of applying the potential of parametric design in this work.
