2022. 51 f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Biomedicina) – Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2022.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/49415Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome (APAS), also known as Hugles Syndrome, is the type of Acquired Thrombophilia that most affects young people, and may occur alone or in association with other systemic diseases, the most common of which is Lupus Erythematosus. Its occurrence in obstetrics is related to obstetric accidents, particularly recurrent recurrent miscarriages, and may also be associated with arterial, venous or microcirculatory thrombosis. It is known that SAAF is one of the most important factors that predispose to miscarriages, which, if not diagnosed and treated, may account for up to 90% of complications in pregnancy. The present study was developed from the review of recent articles (2016-2021), with the objective of relating the main laboratory markers for the diagnosis of FAS, associated with clinical manifestations, and their relationship with recurrent miscarriages. The study concluded that the lupus anticoagulant and anticardiolipin were the antibodies most associated with the diagnosis of antiphospholipid syndrome, accompanied by clinical conditions, the most relevant being early fetal loss. The treatment is directed to prevent thrombotic events and pregnancy losses, being recommended and the most used, the use of low molecular weight heparin and ASA, with significant effects and increase in live birth rates. The study demonstrated the need for early diagnosis, considering that studies are still inconclusive in relation to Antiphospholipid Syndrome and therapeutic management in pregnant women who are positive for antiphospholipid antibodies.
