The World Health Organization and the Ministry of Health recommend the use of the partograph to monitor labor in order to improve care and reduce maternal and fetal mortality. Objective To implement the use of partograph in the labor process in the Maternity Dr. Araken Irerê Pinto, Natal-RN. Methodology This is an intervention characterized by stages. Initially, awareness was taken of managers, nurses, nursing technicians and doctors on the subject. Subsequently, training workshops were held with the multiprofessional team on the importance of using the partograph in the labor process. Results A total of 63.3% of the nursing staff were trained, and the Standard Operational Procedure was elaborated on the completion of the partograph, one of the strategies of implementation of the partograph. Also made acquisition of binders and fixed a display on the cover of the medical record to place the partogram inside as a way to improve the visualization.
