Natal, RN, 2023.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/60269This technical report presents the product derived from the research that started from the perception that the Thematic Center for Drought and Semi-Arid Regions of Rio Grande do Norte (NUT-Drought) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte can reposition itself as an active and dynamic agent of knowledge production in the field of drought and semi-arid regions. To this end, one of the alternatives would be the application of Knowledge Management tools and practices, including the mapping of knowledge networks, due to their potential to leverage knowledge sharing and the development of new knowledge products and services. As specific objectives, the research aims to analyze scientific production in the field, describe the structure, components and characteristics of knowledge networks and propose, derived from the mapping, other Knowledge Management tools and practices to be applied by NUT-Drought. The methodological approach used is Domain Analysis, taking into account its emphasis on exploring the social contexts of knowledge production and communication, as well as its agents, documents and communication flows. The Scopus database and the CNPq Research Groups Directory are used as data sources for mapping. Bibliometric and Social Network Analysis methods are applied to describe scientific production in the domain and map networks. As a result, co-authorship, co-citation, bibliographic coupling and research group networks were mapped, among others.
