However, in recent years, several problems have emerged that have challenged this model. In order to explain some of these problems, many alternative models have been proposed, such as the addition of new dynamic fluids modeled by different fields, modifications of Einstein’s general relativity and deeper modifications to standard physics, such as the possibility of varying fundamental constants. In this thesis, using the most recent observational data, we test possible deviations from the theory of general relativity, as well as possible temporal variations in the speed of light.
