The main objective was to propose an intervention to reorganize the documentation and archival information related to Live Birth Certificates and Death Certificates, which are essential for feeding the Live Birth Information System and the Mortality Information System. Based on practical experience and the identification of failures in the document flow, an action plan was developed that includes steps such as classification, standardization, access control, and proper storage of documents. The intervention aimed to optimize information retrieval, reduce document disappearance, and contribute to improving health information management. The results improved the sector’s efficiency and reaffirmed the importance of the hospital manager’s role in preserving and organizing archival information.
