As the textbook (LD) is the main teaching resource in the classroom, this study aims to analize narrative genres in the Português Linguagens textbook for 6th grade of elementary school, focusing on the four axes that integrate the language practices in the BNCC for Portuguese Language. To support our analysis, we use Bakhtin (2003), Bazerman (2006), Marcuschi (2008) and Bezerra (2022) regarding the concept of text genres; Genette (2009 [1971]) and Gancho (2006) regarding the concept of narrative genres; and Koch and Elias (2017) to understand how each axis is organized. Methodologically, the research is characterized as qualitative, with an inductive approach. The corpus consists of 17 activities that address narrative genres present in the Português Linguagens textbook for 6th grade of elementary school. Data analysis reveals that the axes of Oral Communication, Reading, Text Production, and Linguistic/Semiotic Analysis are covered in activities involving narrative genres, in line with the BNCC guidelines.
