Dissertação (Mestrado Profissional em Ensino de História - Profhistoria) - Centro de Ciências Humanas, Letras e Artes, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2022.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/51908This dissertation research was thought and developed from successful experiences developed in the classroom at Escola Estadual João Tomaz Neto in the city of Lagoa de Pedras/RN, between the years 2015 and 2018 and aims to serve as a guiding possibility in discussions that aim to contribute to the teaching of history in a scenic language with theatrical practices in the school environment, through the creation of spectacle classes that give the students the opportunity to be protagonists of their actions in the construction of their knowledge and citizenship. I seek here to develop an idea of work that questions the practice of History teaching and the issues of citizenship and its constructions in different spaces and, our purpose, besides analyzing the viability of the interweaving of art and History in pedagogical practices with emphasis on History teaching, is also to dialogue with Augusto Boal (2013) in "The Theater of the Oppressed" based on the contributions of Paulo Freire (1997) in the effectiveness of an inclusive, emancipating and democratic education that forms conscious subjects and solidarity with the collectivity. We also discuss the importance of body expression from Ahlert (2011) and Assmann (1998) as an element of communication and interaction of art with history in the re-signification of narratives and their sensitive themes.
