The study used the Health Sciences Descriptor (DeCS) under the terms "Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome and Control of Communicable Diseases", whose collected data met the following inclusion criteria: scientific articles, available online and in Portuguese language, in the period From 2012 to 2017, in full. The temporal cut is justified by the fact that, in five years, the production of knowledge is substantially renewed, especially with regard to the knowledge conveyed in computerized media, 18 available articles are now composed of the corpus Of the data analyzed and the study used a quantitative-qualitative descriptive approach. The analysis of the trend of scientific production has proved to be absolutely preventive and of a socio-cultural nature. It was verified that in the prevention against the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome knowledge in health education and in permanent education are practiced with few priorities, in the country, being therefore, the clarification regarding the improvement of the knowledge of this area.
